Testimonials

“CB Lee read my novel draft and gave me a wonderful, thorough report on what she thought I’d done well and where she thought I could make improvements. Her suggestions were concrete and detailed, and I was delighted when I dove back in to revise because I could see right away exactly how implementing her ideas would immediately make the book better. She also took the time to give me additional notes as she read on plot points, language, etc. that were really helpful and encouraging. Overall, working with CB on my sensitivity read was a wonderful experience and I’d HIGHLY recommend her to other authors and editors!”
Robin Talley, New York Times bestselling author of Lies We Tell Ourselves

“I found CB remarkably easy to work with, dependable, and thorough. She always delivered her notes in a timely fashion and I knew I could rely on her, which was important because I was often working under tight deadlines for my publisher! CB’s critique was always kind and considerate, but also honest and to-the-point, which I valued greatly. I think it’s important for a skilled sensitivity reader to not only give their straightforward and educated opinions about a work, but to do it in such a way as to encourage the author to learn from possible missteps and to also acknowledge what the author has done well. CB does this with flying colors and I can readily say that she is a sensitive sensitivity reader! She is also a sharp, astute editor, catching nuances and plot points well ahead of time so I could fix them and address any potential harm. I highly recommend CB Lee as a sensitivity reader and I plan on working with her again in the future!”
Julie Dao, author of the critically acclaimed The Forest of A Thousand Lanterns
