I first met Julia Vee and Ken Bebelle at Emerald City Comic Con in 2025. We hit it off immediately and I loved learning about their works; Ebony Gate is the first book in the Phoenix Hoard trilogy and it’s a dynamic and epic fantasy series. They also have an SFF series which is essentially a John-Wick-esque Asian heroine, which is incredibly fun! I later did an amazing panel conversation with Julia at Kepler’s Books in Northern California last August as the final book end to the Coffeeshop In An Alternate Universe book tour. One of my favorite things about the author community is meeting people and learning from them, making new friends and finding ways to cultivate more writing and reading community with interesting topics! I’m so thrilled to get to partner with Ken on this LATFOB experience.
You can find Ken and myself in the Orange Section (Young Adult) which is right near the food trucks and the big lawn! Come by after you eat or relax from the huge festival and browse our books.
I’ll also be signing books at the Bel Canto Books booth, #854, on Saturday from 3-4pm.
This is the biggest book festival in Southern California and if you’re a bookish person, it’ll be an amazing way to see authors, get exclusive books, and listen to incredible speakers and panels!
