Seven Tears at High Tide is now available in French! I am still swooning over this gorgeous new cover. It feels so magical, and the color tone really complements the original! I’m so honored to have my first novel translated and available for more readers to discover.
One of the original drafts of Not Your Villain totaled about 110,000 words! In making a better book, this story had to be streamlined. One of the challenging parts about editing (and saddest) is cutting scenes, especially scenes I loved to write. I had so much extra story that I thought it would be fun to share some of these with you.
It was such a joy to attend the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books this year! This is one of the biggest book celebrations of the year and it’s so exhilarating to see so many people all in one place to just love on books. Imagine seas of tents filled with booksellers and authors and readers, it’s incredible!
Had an awesome time at AnaCon in Anaheim, California! It was such a delight to visit the Anaheim Public Library and be a part of this incredible event on February 2, 2018. I love libraries and it was amazing to see this transformed, celebrating books and literature and comics and had a great festive vibe. There were multiple panels and also games, giveaways and cosplayers!
So excited to announce that Seven Tears at High Tide will be translated and published in French! I am so honored that this will be the first of my books to be translated and I am beyond thrilled that so many lovely Interlude Press books will be available in this beautiful language.
Outlining your novel is a fantastic way to start. It can be incredibly helpful for people who are detail oriented and like to plan, but can be also nerve-wracking and intimidating to create the perfect outline if you haven’t done it before or if you’re more of a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants writer.

So back in June when I was at BookCon I had the opportunity to meet Cece, the host of the Problems of a Book Nerd Youtube channel and had a great time chatting with her about Not Your Villain, the Sidekick Squad, fandom shenanigans and a few favorite things!
SLCC was so much fun! It was my first time ever being at this Comic Con, and I was blown away by the energy and the passion of the fans, the creative cosplays and of course the wonderful people who came to my panels and my signing! I was nervous moderating my first two panels at this con, Say It On The Page! and Turning Ideas into Novels, but the discussion and thought-provoking questions made it all worth it.
